Hans Leo Hassler's Kyrie Eleison (from Missa Secunda) is arranged for brass quartet by Mike Lyons, scored for Bb Cornet, Eb Tenor Horn, Trombone and Euphonium. Extra parts are supplied for non brass band flavoured quartets.
Hans Leo Hassler (1564 - 1612) was a German composer of vocal and instrumental music that crossed over the renaissance and baroque eras. This true-to-the-original arrangement of his Kyrie Eleison (from Missa Secunda) demonstrates Hassler's polyphonic style, and will make an excellent addition to any brass quartet's repertoire.
