Jacques Segrott
Jacques Segrott is a Cardiff-based musician. A former member of both the National Youth Brass Band of Wales and the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, he was awarded the Richard Fice Memorial Award in 2020 for his performance on the trumpet.
He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and Cardiff University, graduating in July 2025 with First-Class Honours. In his final year, he received the John Morgan Lloyd Prize, which recognises musical achievement among final-year students.
Jacques has performed with several Championship Section brass bands across South Wales. His arrangements have been featured in a variety of settings, including broadcasts on BBC Radio and as part of Cardiff University Brass Band's award-winning 2024 UniBrass performance. He also helped establish the learner band at Cardiff University in 2023, aimed at new and developing brass players.
