Tower of Hope is an original brass band composition by the pen of James McFadyen, written in response to the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017.

The piece is semi-programmatic; several strands of material overlap to produce a meaningful and heartfelt homage to the victims of the fire.

The rolling quaver pattern signifies the stairway of the tower block, a siren-type effect is heard to pay homage to the Emergency services attending the blaze, and melody (of which there is only one of) represents the residents of the Grenfell Tower block.

Tower of Hope culminates in taking the listener to the very top of the tower; the rolling quaver pattern stops and is replaced by cascading block chords, signifying the route to the very edge of the Grenfell block, when as the final chord strikes, the listener should visualise looking over the edge down to ground view, seeing the devastation from a birds-eye view.
